Lake Okeechobee and 55+ !

The 10th biggest freshwater lake in the country and our first 55 plus RV park just north of Lake Okeechobee…. Zachary Taylor RV park.

They had a really nice pool, workout room, meeting/party room. And an abundance of different water birds many of them perched in a big tree by the workout room – pelicans, ducks, geese, many different cranes.

Lake  Okeechobee is only 12 ft. deep so not much happens on that lake but a great fishing lake.

There were many activities, entertainment and daily happy hours at someone’s place.

However, the combination of temporary and permanent campers were packed very tightly, neighbors were very close, and hookups were questionable. We narrowly avoided “Sewer-gate”. We are not fans of this place!

But we ended the week with some playoff football and moved on!

This was out camp "site". there was no room for the awning, barely room to park and someones porch next to our door
