Made it to St Andrews State Park near Panama City, FL.   Our site is right on St Andrews Bay; a great spot to spend a week.   The camp is nice and clean and quiet and the site on the water is level with full hookups and room for the dogs to wander a bit.  Sun in the forecast for the whole time we are here.

The camper is named Andie. She’s a 2004 Bantam TrailLite – 17 ft. We didn’t put the awning out because we love the sun. Dogs love it too.  They are enjoying their Bento Balls outside!

Quick hike around the edge of Gator Lake.   No Gator sightings but Cece was ready to go in the underbrush to flush out whatever was hiding even if it was the Meglagator. I was quick to say “NOPE”! The dogs are loving meeting the local deer like Bucky at Gator Lake.

Finished a few camper improvement projects this week: shelves, storage baskets, indoor outdoor thermometer and a quick fix for the camper driving lights.

The camper living struggle is real; between keeping the fridge/cooler cold and computer cord management we do have a few daily frustrations.  However, we have settled into a great routine and have decided it is better than shoveling snow or scraping car windows.    Caught some playoff football with a large pizza, we were lucky the pizza box fit through the camper door.

One goal of our trip is to cook a well-known dish from each state we visit.

Missouri – BBQ (of course)
Mississippi – We fried some tasty catfish and asparagus in the air fryer (served with homemade tartar sauce)
Florida – Key lime pie (bars so they fit into the Ninja). No picture because the delisciousness exceeded the beauty.

Other culinary successes include blueberry pancakes with bacon, Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and spicy Cajun shrimp skewers. Our Ninja 6-in-1 Grill does it all and will be needing a name for her/him/they soon.

Mid to high 60’s and sunny, this Florida weather is exactly what the Dr. ordered. A little yoga, some workouts and stretching in the sunshine between relaxing and chores feels great.
